The aquarium is located inside a natural cave formed by the erosion of the sea on the coast. This cave has had various adaptations to accommodate the different rock species that inhabit the waters of Ibiza, forming an ideal space for their habitat.
With an approximate extension of 400 m2, several entrances of seawater have been practiced, distributed in different points of the cave, in order to maintain constant circulation and renewal of water. In this way, marine conditions are ideal for our inhabitants.
We can see larger fish in the lake area (groupers, rays, breams, etc.) and smaller specimens (serrans, wrasses, scorpionfish, etc.) can be observed in some adapted tanks distributed throughout the cave.
A peculiarity of this aquarium is that only coastal fish from the Ibiza coastline are present. Being such a unique and emblematic space in the history of Ibiza, our visitors will get to know the local marine fauna in a special environment totally adapted to their needs.
